In Stride with God
1 Kings 8:57-58

57 May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us or forsake us, 58 that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, which He commanded our fathers. 1 Kings 8:57-58

There are things we have experienced in our hearts through our ears. There are other things we have lived through and feel via our eyes. We have gained wisdom walking with you and talking with you. God, we thank You that there is an old and a new. As we live and breathe, both the Old Testament and the New Testament have expanded. You continue to walk with Your people beyond the scriptures and continue to deliver your people from every adversary.

God, we worship You for your just ways and praise You for Your favor and grace. We are beneficiaries of Your love, sharing in an earthly inheritance and an eternal inheritance. We are honored to live with You and privileged to have Your statutes guiding us. We are graced with Your forgiveness and adorned with Your Name. Praise be to Your Name!

While other leaders walk ahead, God, we are thankful that you walk with us. Help us, God, to be disciplined enough to walk with You. Allow our hearts to keep pace with Your stride. Help us to remain pure and in Your good graces by hiding Your words in our hearts!

God, your presence has accompanied generation after generation, both guiding us through calamity and keeping us during the chaos. While others crumble, we remain firm. Steadfast to Your Word and Your commandments. You are refusing to break Your ordinances, aware that the blessing is in obedience. God gives us the strength to live as a sacrifice each day. We praise you, amen!
